Description

Britain, 1984. The largest industrial dispute in British history has begun. While miners and police clash and picket lines are formed, for many, life goes on. Inspired by Alan Bennett's Talking Heads, in Carnations: Behind the Picket Line, five ordinary people speak about how their lives have been affected over the course of the nearly year-long strike. Through different social perspectives, the piece explores themes of community, division, and isolation.
